Month 5 Day 02/21
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Your husband’s work life is very important to him. Without success, he may feel like a failure, whether he put in the effort or not. Pray that he works diligently, remembers the Lord in his work, and finds fulfilment in what he does. He also needs your support and encouragement; therefore, ask God to show you how to build him up through your words and actions.
Submit any obstacles he may be facing at work to God, whether it’s difficult clients, low pay, lazy colleagues, discouragement, late payments, or lack of motivation. Listen carefully when he talks about his work so you know what to pray for.
Where he may be overworking or avoiding work, pray for faithfulness and balance. Because in the end, he will reap what he sows (Galatians 6:7).
Related Scriptures
Galatians 6:7-9 NIV
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
Proverbs 22:29 NIV
Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.
Reflection Question
What specific area of your husband’s work do you need to start praying for more intentionally?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, You know what my husband needs in his work life. You have called him to something with his life. Please show him what it is clearly. Give him the ability, skill, wisdom, and discipline to do what You have called him to do. Let him not cower or become lazy burnt out t or overwhelmed. Instead, help him work with his might as if he is doing it for You. Let Your hand be with him and make him excel and prosper in his work life. Remind him to rely on you for everything and how him the way to go, in Jesus name, Amen.
