Encouraging Words
Whatever you are going through in your marriage, don’t be afraid to seek God. He is a present help in times of trouble.
Someone asked me whether praying for my marriage means that I don’t confront issues in my marriage. I reminded them that God wants us to involve Him in every single part of our life. He says we shouldn’t lean on what we think we know. (Prov 3:5-6)
If you are going to spend the rest of your life with your husband, isn’t important to constantly seek God’s will on your marriage, yours and his life?
I know for a fact that, when I started praying for my marriage and husband, our conflict resolution changed. When we invite God in our day to day life, he changes our hearts and our behaviors.
There are things about your marriage that only God knows and He can protect us from both the known and unknown.
I encourage you to start praying today. You don’t even need to know how to pray. Speak to Him as you would speak to your father because He is.
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:26-28 NIV
